YOUR CAPTAIN

The Captain and owner of Morning Light is Peter Moon. Peter has been in and around water for more than 60 years and has had experience with many boats, both sail and power. He has been a member of the National US Power Squadron for more than 30 years and has been a member of the Buzzards Bay Sail & Power Squadron for 25 years. The BBSPS's charter is to educate boaters and to that end, Peter has taken courses up to and including Advanced Piloting. He also teaches courses which include Boat Smart, Basic Boating, Seamanship and Piloting. With all this background, Peter studied for and passed the exams for the USCG 50 Ton Masters License. He works for a local marina, Kingman Yacht Center, driving their launch, conducting 8 boating seminars during the summer season and teaches boaters in their own boats how to come up to a dock, how to get their boat into their slip, both bow and stern first and educates them in the use of marine electronics.
